Fuck You (very much)

Look inside
Look inside your tiny mind
Now look a bit harder
Cause we're so uninspired, so sick and tired of all the hatred you harbor

So you say
It's not okay to be gay
Well I think you're just evil
You're just some racist who can't tie my laces
Your point of view is medieval

Fuck you

Uprising

The paranoia is in bloom, the PR
The transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs
Keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around
(So come on!)

Another promise, another scene, another
A package not to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(So come on!)

Love

I am one with all things
in beauty
in ugliness
for whatsoever is
there I am

Not only in virtue
but in sin too I am a partner
and not only heaven
but hell too is mine.
Buddha, Jesus, Lao Tzu
it is easy to be their heir,
but Ghengis, Taimur, and Hitler?
They are also within me!

We Are All Fukushima

David Rainoshek, creator of http://www.juicefeasting.com/ has authored an important new report called We Are All Fukushima. This report delivers "an integral perspective on the meanings and promises of disaster."

It is an advanced look at the cultural and spiritual causes behind Fukushima and other disasters

In this groundbreaking report, David Rainoshek asks the question, "Where does the problem of Fukushima really exist?"

It's not just at the nuclear power facility, it turns out. This disaster — as with many other disasters — egins in the hearts and minds of modern humankind. To explain his perspective, David Rainoshek, an avid student of philosopher Ken Wilbur, cites the Great Chain of Being and the roots of our the worldview and human values.

Happy Ostara

Ostara is often celebrated in ignorance as the vernal equinox. Ostara (or Eostre, or Easter) was the Teutonic lunar goddess who was born each year at the vernal full moon (the next full moon after the vernal equinox.)

Her symbols were the egg and the bunny (if you look at the full moon you can plainly see an image of a rabbit leaping).

Each month, the moon goddess Eostre died (at the new moon) and stayed dead for three days. (There are, of course, three days to a new moon.)

At the full moon, she came to full life (pregnant) and gave birth during the three days of the full moon. At the spring full moon (Ostara), she was said to give birth to all the glories of springtime — flowers, baby animals, new leaves, etc.

If any of this sounds familiar, the whole thing was stolen by Christianity for its own "Easter" celebration!

For pagans, Ostara is a time of joy in a renewed springtime. It was the ancient time of planting — as it still is in many parts of the world.

Easter: Christian or Pagan?

Contrary to popular belief, Easter does not represent the "historical" crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In reality, the gospel tale reflects the annual "crossification" of the sun through the vernal equinox (Spring), at which time the sun is "resurrected," as the day begins to become longer than the night.

Rather than being a "Christian" holiday, Easter celebrations date back into remotest antiquity and are found around the world, as the blossoming of spring did not escape the notice of the ancients, who revered this life-renewing time of the year, when winter had passed and the sun was "born again." The "Pagan" Easter is also the Passover, and Jesus Christ represents not only the sun but also the Passover Lamb ritually sacrificed every year by a number of cultures, including the Egyptians, possibly as early as 4,000 years ago and continuing to this day in some places.

Earth Day 2011 – A Billion Acts of Green

Earth Day is becoming one of the most important hallmarks in the world of conservation and recycling. It carries with it powerful connotations of ecological responsibility and taking ownership of our planet; after all, it is the only Earth that we have, and taking steps to lessen the impact that you and your fellow man have on it is nothing short of revolutionary.

On April 22, 1970, Gaylord Nelson, a United States Senator, founded the first Earth Day in an attempt to bring about a better understanding of the affect we have on our planet, and calling us to take action to make positive environmental changes in our community.

The first Earth Day was attended by 20 million Americans nationwide, from college campuses to town halls, and giant teach-ins were organized in New York City and Philadelphia, the latter event turning into a seven-day event known as Earth Week.

4/20/2011

Today is April 20, 2011, making it a special day for marijuana smokers around the world, particularly in America.

Many will be lighting up.

Judging by the ride on BART, the chatter makes it seem like people feel they should get a free pass to smoke pot today.  A few had hope that they wouldn't be bothered by police.

I went into the city to meet a friend for lunch, and then we were to stop by the Vapor Room, a medical cannabis dispensery.

I had never been to this club, so my friend thought we should try it out at least once, and we are glad we did!

FBI's Surprising 'Flying Saucer' Document

Interesting little document on the FBI's new "Vault" part of its website. Here's the description from the "Unexplained Phenomena" section of the FBI Vault:

Guy Hottel was a Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office. The information concerning Mr. Hottel is in regard to a March 22, 1950, memo he sent to the Director concerning flying saucers.

The memo is addressed to the Director of the FBI at that time, J. Edgar Hoover. It is from the FBI Special Agent in Charge, Guy Hottel. It is dated March 22, 1950, and the subject is:

FLYING SAUCERS
INFORMATION CONCERNING

House of Numbers

The other night I watched, 8: The Mormon Proposition. It’s a hard-hitting exposé of a shameful episode brought on by the Mormon Church.

Tonight I watched a much different documentary, House of Numbers: Anatomy of an Epidemic, which is a new film about Aids. It follows one young film maker as he discovers the ‘real’ science behind HIV. It discovers the reality of the antiretroviral drugs themselves causing the symptoms called Aids.

The HIV/ AIDS Story is Being Rewritten

House of Numbers: Anatomy of an Epidemic, is an AIDS film like no other.

This is the first film to present the uncensored POVs of virtually all the major players; in their own settings, in their own words. It rocks the foundation upon which all conventional wisdom regarding HIV/AIDS is based. House of Numbers could well be the opening volley in a battle to bring sanity and clarity to an epidemic gone awry.

8: The Mormon Proposition

"gays represent the greatest threat to America going down today."
-Mormon Bishop & Senator D. Chris Buttars
Both of which have compared gay people to radical Muslims.

Now here is a documentary that I was not going to watch, and then decided I would.

It's a depressing film, however it delivers a powerful correlative lesson.
You can clearly see that united citizen journalism played an important role in outing these big-money political players who would have otherwise put their stamp on laws from the capitalistic safety of the shadows.
I appreciated how the filmmakers hammered hard on the Mormon church. From the shady PR stunts, to the shady financial reporting, to the human fallout of their treatment of gays both inside and outside their flock.

Bolvia Enacts 'Law of Mother Earth"

Bolivia enshrines natural world's rights with equal status for Mother Earth

Law of Mother Earth expected to prompt radical new conservation and social measures in South American nation

Bolivia Set to Pass ‘Law of Mother Earth’

In a political move that would make John Locke’s head explode, Bolivia is poised to pass a law that would grant nature equal rights with those afforded humans.

The Fix Is In: Bush Cousin Presides Over 9/11 Suit

No, it’s not a joke.

A 9/11 lawsuit against former high officials in the Bush White House is being presided over by a cousin of former president George W. Bush – a shocking and blatant conflict of interest that should embarrass even believers in the official story.

George W. Bush’s cousin, Judge John M. Walker of the 2nd Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals, is part of a three-judge panel hearing the case of April Gallop vs. former vice-president Dick Cheney, former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers.

Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth

Preamble [draft]

We, the peoples and nations of Earth:

considering that we are all part of Mother Earth, an indivisible, living community of interrelated and interdependent beings with a common destiny;

gratefully acknowledging that Mother Earth is the source of life, nourishment and learning and provides everything we need to live well;recognizing that the capitalist system and all forms of depredation, exploitation, abuse and contamination have caused great destruction, degradation and disruption of Mother Earth, putting life as we know it today at risk through phenomena such as climate change;

convinced that in an interdependent living community it is not possible to recognize the rights of only human beings without causing an imbalance within Mother Earth;

affirming that to guarantee human rights it is necessary to recognize and defend the rights of Mother Earth and all beings in her and that there are existing cultures, practices and laws that do so;

President Obama Told to "Get Real" on 9/11 and Phony Terror

“WE CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH, SOME OF US ANYWAY”

America is in its 10th year of war in Afghanistan and losing. Everyone there hates us, we haven’t won a single “heart” or “mind.”  We have succeeded in building an empire of opium and heroin on a scale never before imagined.

Millions at home, tens of millions in Russia, Europe and around the world have been destroyed by the flood of narcotics distributed with deadly efficiency by a combination of rogue military and intelligence operations and the contracting firms we payed to protect us.

American corruption, incompetence and brutality has recruited hundreds of thousands into a war against the United States who could otherwise have been our allies.

This is the simple truth of it.

All Fools Day

April Fools' Day, sometimes called All Fools' Day, is one of the most light-hearted days of the year. Its origins are uncertain. Some see it as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, while others believe it stems from the adoption of a new calendar.

New Year's Day Moves

Ancient cultures, including those of the Romans and Hindus, celebrated New Year's Day on or around April 1. It closely follows the vernal equinox (March 20th or March 21st.) In medieval times, much of Europe celebrated March 25, the Feast of Annunciation, as the beginning of the new year.

In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII ordered a new calendar (the Gregorian Calendar) to replace the old Julian Calendar. The new calendar called for New Year's Day to be celebrated Jan. 1.

That year, France adopted the reformed calendar and shifted New Year's day to Jan. 1.

Chicken Memorial Month 2011

Chickens are one of the most exploited creatures on earth.

Considered to be an infinite resource, dismissed as having no rights and seen as nothing more than mere products, every month billions of chickens are fattened up, caged and decapitated – usually when still fully conscious. And many male chicks, barely 10 minutes old, are shredded, gassed or crushed.

This April we’ll be making a clear statement to remember the billions of chickens that have been tortured and killed.

Take a good look at the picture to the right, and let it be a reminder of the guilt we all bear.

Here are 10 reasons why you shouldn't eat chicken:
