This Memorial Day 2011

This Memorial Day will be spent remembering a life that has given so much (rather than taken away) to so many people.

This Memorial Day will be spent remembering how she made me so happy.

I haven't stopped thinking of my beloved dog, Brandy. In fact, I can't stop thinking of her.

I think of her every morning. I think of her each time I want to take a nap. I think of her each time I fix myself something to eat. I think of her each time I go to the store. 

I think of her every night as I turn down the bed. I think of her everyday as I light a candle by her picture.

I think of her all the time.  We were so connected.

and she had the nerve to ask me in Swahilli to kick a poem

So i grabbed the microphone and said,

MesoAmerican Healing Ritual

Hey folks,

Just these few words down your way hoping you had a great weekend and your in good spirits, and health.

While visiting my father, my cousin Cindy and I stumbled upon the Azteca/Mexica dancers of Calpulli Tonalehqueh  and Eztli Chicahua along with some smaller groups at the Fruitvale BART station in Oakland, California. 

The purpose of the union was to perform an ancient healing ritual for the city and it's citizens.

There has been such negative energy surrounding this particular part of the city, that it was necessary to begin the ritual here, at this very epi-center, where the healing masters can focus their energy.

The MesoAmerican drum beats moved through me and ignited my healing energies.

Judgment Day - May 21, 2011

May 21, 2011 is Judgment Day! At least that's what Harold Camping and his Family Radio followers profess.

The day that Jesus is allegedly returning is also ironically Armed Forces Day. A perfect day for the return the the mythical Jesus Christ, a day when we celebrate our military forces, the very forces that have occupied international territory and has caused such terrorism and death throughout the world.

"Well, we're not praying for mercy".

Maybe the people who believe in this crap will hold their breath, and be able to meet their maker sooner than later.

Needless to say, I doubt that anyone will be raptured or that the world will end either tomorrow or on October 21, 2011, nor in 2012 as people have been confused with the interpretation of the Mayan Calendar.

Truth Hurts, Lies Kill. The Real Truth of Wars

I am thrilled to finally hear someone of truly respectable humanity and intelligence state the absolute and fundamental TRUTH about the United States, and its people, having been lied to by the President of the United States, which ultimately led the country and its people into the war. Now the truth is known.  All military men and women are now obligated both morally, and ethically to refuse to obey the supreme [criminal] orders; and if they refuse to do that, then they make themselves guilty servants of the war makers.

Absolutely, and Fundamentally.

I suppose the exception to this absolution would be for soldiers who have suffered from PTSD'd which makes them unable to realize that the criminal root of the orders from which they are obligated to follow or who are now so psychologically damaged that they are unable to refuse such orders not knowing they're criminal.

But all soldiers continuing to carry out the orders to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan have no excuse; unless they truly are the [dumb animals] as Henry Kissinger speaks about:

A Soldier's Awakening - Mike Prysner

Mike Prysner is an intelligent and articulate young man. I agree with his theory, in his identification of certain interests who, as a minority, reap tremendous material gain at the expense of war.

I really admire Mike, and commend his noble attempts to end the war(s)/occupation(s) in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It’s a shame that most Americans really have no concept of any of the differences in political manifestos. The average American still believes that socialism equates to communism.

How long has it been?  Fifty years or so .....but we're still "Better dead, than Red”.

Mike is a brave young man standing up for his ideals instead of running away like everyone else does.

Death of Osama bin Laden (TZM)

On May 1, 2011 Pres. Barack Obama appeared on national television with the spontaneous announcement that Osama bin Laden, the purported organizer of  the tragic events of September 11th 2001, was killed by military forces in Pakistan.

Within moments, a media blitz ran across virtually all television networks in what could only be described as a grotesque celebratory display, reflective of a level of emotional immaturity that borders on cultural psychosis. Depictions of people running through the streets of New York and Washington chanting jingoistic American slogans, waving their flags like the members of some cult, praising the death of another human being, reveals yet another layer of this sickness we call modern society.

It is not the scope of this response to address the political usage of such an event or to illuminate the staged orchestration of how public perception was to be controlled by the mainstream media and the United States Government. Rather the point of this article is to express the gross irrationality apparent and how our culture becomes so easily fixed and emotionally charged with respect to surface symbology, rather than true root problems, solutions or rational considerations of circumstance.

Achieved 100,000 Hits

Today PAAFTI has reached the 100,000 hits milestone. Given the stats on other blogs I realize this isn’t a huge number of visitors but I think it’s pretty significant for an independent blog.

Over the past two years I’ve created a blog that not only shares all kinds of information, from Religion & Philosophy, to the Illusions of the Ego, Corporatism, Consumerism, War, and some personal experiences, and of course I always throw in some unexplainable events, which many of you have come to enjoy and comment on.

I also, enjoy discovering new and interesting information and the knowledge and ideas which comes with reading about the wide variety of topics covered here.

Looking forward, I can only hope that my blog inspires others to find the truth (their truth), and somehow trigger an awakening so that they too can join us in the mass awakening of consciousness.

Alissa Marie Dominguez Birthday (my sis)

Over three decades ago, today, I received the best gift in the world – a little sister. She has been my best friend, my sounding board, a great playmate, and best dance partner in the world.

She is the best sister a guy could ask for.

Today is my little sister Alissa’s birthday and I can honestly say, I don’t know what I would do without her. We have been through thick and thin together and I am so proud to have her as MY sister.

Alissa probably doesn’t realize how much she has encouraged me....and she also has a way of causing me to challenge myself through life.

This is what I am most grateful for.

Most of all, Alissa makes me laugh more than anyone I know with her amazing sense of humor!

I’m not one to actually celebrate birthdays like everyone else does…it’s just not me. Instead, I set aside a day of remembrance for this life affirming event.
