A Sabbatical

Well folks, let's take a look at the vast majority's definition:

sab•bat•i•cal \sə-'ba-ti-kəl\ (n.): In theory, a self-actualizing, regenerative, and employer-supported journey of adventure and reflection that gives workers a respite from work for a month or longer.

Sabbaticals are typically used by those who may be more financially fortunate than us. Who wouldn't want an extended hiatus.

The Society for Human Resource Management conducted a survey of U.S. businesses and found that fewer than half offered paid time off to employees.

Your Just A Fool

What'cha gonna do with the 36 cents
Sticky with Coke on your floorboard
When a woman on the street is huddled in the cold
On a sidewalk vent trying to keep warm
Do you call her over hand her the change
Ask her a story ask her her name

Or do you tell yourself

You're just a fool
Just a fool

My Silent Love Song

Feeling less than my ordinary self
i guess i must be getting older
the fog already heavy on my mind
evokes a time that's turning colder
at breakfast the effect is picturesque
the window opens up and lets in
the winds again
he's a silent love song
never stays long
does not belong to any person
though he's opening the curtains in my head

Just Leave Me Alone

I've got a right to be wrong
My mistakes will make me strong
I'm stepping out into the great unknown
I'm feeling wings though I've never flown
I've got a mind of my own
I'm flesh and blood to the bone
I'm not made of stone

Got a right to be wrong

So just leave me alone
