A Capitulation To Lies

Your commitment to Thanksgiving puts us critics in the position of internalizing one of the central messages promoted by the ideologues of capitalism – that individual behavior is more important than collective action.
That predatory corporate capitalism which naturalizes unjust hierarchy, as part of the overall project of discouraging political struggle and encouraging us to retreat into a private realm where life is defined by consumption.
So this November, rather than stuff your face with turkey and mashed potatoes...understand the truth about the national holiday, and why we should not celebrate Thanksgiving; A National Day of Atonement acknowledging the genocide of America's indigenous peoples.

Today we understand the Thanksgiving Day mythology and how it has been rooted in a fraudulent story – about the European invaders coming in peace to the "New World," eager to cooperate with indigenous people – which conveniently ignores the reality of European barbarism in the conquest of the continent.

Run Your Mouth

Me - me –me – me – me

That's all you ever talk about

Me - me –me – me – me

Sick of when you scream and shout

Me - me –me – me – me

So baby go and run your mouth

R- r - r run your mouth
R- r - r run your mouth

I - I - I - I – I

I try and show you that I'm there

I - I - I - I – I

I end up ripping out my hair

Why I - I - I - I – I

Do I even wanna care
W – w – w wanna care
Wanna care care

The Fool

How long the night to the watchman
How long the road to the weary traveler
How long the wandering of many lives
To the fool who misses the way
If the traveler cannot find
Master or friend to go with him
Let him travel alone
Rather than with a fool for company

"My children, my wealth!"

Veterans Awaken To Role As Corporate Mercenaries

When I was younger, I thought going into the military was the right thing to do and I joined voluntarily.

I saw it as an adventure and I was anxious to jump in and learn what 'being a man' was all about. Like Hemingway's fictional alter ego, Nick Adams in The Sun Also Rises, I wanted to get into the game and experience life to the hilt. Not unlike Nick Adams in the final chapter of the book, I also came to see things very differently on the far side of the journey.

During the Vietnam era, I had a very low opinion of draft dodgers, draft card burners, and war protesters in general. I assumed they were mostly spoiled and cowardly college wimps who were too good to get their hands dirty giving something back to their country and were mostly looking for an easy pretext to meet women. But I was naive and wholly ignorant of what was really taking place.

More importantly, I had no idea who was manipulating these events from behind the scenes. I unthinkingly accepted the cover story that it was those Godless communists who were agitating to take over all of Asia and they had to be stopped at all costs.

I was brainwashed.

Money Money Money Make Her Smile

All you get back, coming to the stage, is a girl who's new in town
She go by the name where your stacks at
This pretty little thing I swear won't let you down
Watch her drop it like... hey

It's not complicated, so this won't take a while
You see music make her dance, and money money money make her smile

Money money money make her smile
Money money money make her smile

She's a super freak

Choices

We are what we think
All that we are arises with our thoughts
With our thoughts we make the world

Speak or act with an impure mind
And trouble will follow you

As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart

We are what we think
All that we are arises with our thoughts
With our thoughts we make the world

Speak or act with a pure mind

And happiness will follow you

As your shadow, unshakable

"Look how he abused me and hurt me
How he threw me down and robbed me"

Remember, Remember The 5th Of November

Remember remember the 5th of November,
that these wars of aggression,
this police state oppression,
hinges on one single thing—our cooperation.

It's not the tyrant at the top of the pyramid who has the final say
like most are conditioned to believe.
The real question is not who is issued the immoral order.

The real question is why do you obey it?
