Mayan Astrology

The Maya Sacred Tzolkin Calendar (the "True count" as used by the Maya for 5000 years). Mayan Sun signs (called Sacred "Day" Signs in their Astrology) consist of 20 signs total, and based on your Date of Birth, there is also a corresponding Energy Number/Galactic Tone (1 thru 13) representing your relationship to the Galaxy!

The Mayan sacred calendar is much more than just a calendar. Thinking of the Tzolkin as only a calendar would be like thinking of your computer as only a clock. The Tzolkin is a record of the flow and combination of the solar and galactic light which creates a light frequency for each day. This frequency in turn creates the "stage" on which we act out our lives. Once a person has determined or remembered his part in the play of life, (his or her frequency), they can more easily harmonize with reality to accomplish their goals.

Mayan Day Sign

"Offering" "Water"
9th Day sign of the Tzolkin cycle

Also known as the sign of WATER. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in Offering people and so extend to them little trust and may even slap blame on them.

Offering is a fairly difficult day sign to be born into. It has an intensifying Eastern energy that makes it hard for the strong emotions that are evoked by it to be contained. For those with this day sign, emotions may flow over in all directions without control. Water people are imaginative and have psychic abilities and an inclination for performance. They are certainly not rigid in their thinking. This means not only are they spontaneous, they sometimes feel others cannot understand them. Others will sense hidden motives in Water and may find it hard to trust them. Water people may evoke strong sexual and violent feelings in those that they come into contact with, and this is what is behind their willingness to perform.
