Ok folks, I’ve received some emails questioning my gratitude this thanksgiving day.
Well, actually, it was only two readers, but it’s these negative emails that stand out amongst the positive feedback.
Thanksgiving day was a day I set aside to spend with Brandy, and we both looked forward to it. It was a day in which I turned off the computers, televisions and cell phones, and we just hung out together.
Whether it be a nice long walk to the park, or the local lake, to taking long drives. It was a day to connect with each other.
I am always thankful for what I have, and I do not necessarily need a special day to express it to the people I love.
Nonetheless, I do not want my readers to think I’m not a grateful person. I trust that anyone who knows my story, would know that I am appreciative for every "thing", and every moment I have.
Just for the record, though, (a shout out to my Crush Org peeps) that I am personally opposed to the widespread killing of factory-farmed turkeys for the Thanksgiving holiday or (Turkey Day).
Free Speech
Without the Free Speech protections provided under the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights, my blog simply would not exist. Free Speech allows us to pursue other freedoms while exposing the lies of Big Government and corrupt corporations.
My Readers
I'm incredibly thankful for your readership and appreciate your comments, suggestions whether they be positive or negative.
Medicinal Plants and Seeds
Mother Nature provides so many answers for us that we haven't even begun to tap into the full wisdom of medicinal plants. The long-term answers for human survival are to be found in nature, not in synthetic chemicals.
Sunshine
Without the sun, we wouldn't even be alive, of course. Sunlight gives us vitamin D, mood enhancements, warmth and energy for the plants that sustain life on our planet.
The Internet
Yes, the internet. Without it, we would all be information slaves to the corporate-controlled media. But the internet has shifted the playing field to where small, independent publishers like myself can reach thousands of readers without the corporate control that and advertising that exists in the mainstream media platforms.
My Human Immune System
I don't know about you, but I'm extremely thankful for my immune system. My immune system has kept me healthy and symptom-free through the Bird Flu, the Swine Flu and seasonal flu, and I never get vaccinated. When given proper nutrients, it works better than any medical technology in the world, far surpassing the efficacy of vaccines, drugs or anything made by Man.
Intelligent People
Even though we live in a world of zombie people who forgot how to think for themselves, I'm always impressed by the amazing number of truly intelligent, thoughtful individuals I do meet -- people who are natural-born skeptics and who intelligently question everything going on around them in order to arrive at the deeper truths of our world. Kudos to all of you, as I believe you are the individuals who represent the future of human civilization. See next item
My Sister Alissa
We are both have a newfound sense of self, and freedom which we are able to experience together. It's nice to have someone intelligent to talk to, and someone which I can learn from. That's what's most exciting.
15 Years with My Dog
I am grateful for every moment I had with Brandy from the day I we found each other at the local animal shelter to traveling across the country, to her last few days on this planet. I am grateful to have spent my life with her. I will continue to spread the word about how intelligent animals are so that we can work to enlighten others to the simple truth that animals have consciousness.
The Relationship with my Father
I am very thankful that I my father accepts me for who I am. We have a respectful relationship.
The Memory of my Dog
Yes, this means the world to me. As long as I am alive, Brandy will always be with me through my memories.
Human Consciousness
I'm especially thankful we have human consciousness. Without it, we’d be meat bags.

Changing the Way We Think
"Thanksgiving day is not a happy day for turkeys. Nor is the day a happy one for animal lovers who don’t discriminate by caring only for cats and dogs. Please reconsider your phrase “Happy Turkey Day.” Please consider simply saying “Happy Thanksgiving” instead. And if you consider yourself an animal lover, please remember that when choosing your Thanksgiving menu." — Elaine VigneaultHere are a few things that I am grateful for:
