Occupy4Love

Occupy4Love is a beacon for heart-centered individuals, groups, and organizations that are supporting the Love in Occupy. In a humble way, we are raising awareness of the highest possibilities for Occupy to bring forth a compassionate civilization that works for 100% of life. In our unique ways, we are living and telling the story of Occupy through the lens of Love.

Attitudinal Healing is a philosophy based on the belief that it is not people or conditions outside ourselves that cause us to be upset. We are not victims of the world we see. Rather, our perceptions, beliefs and attitudes are the source of our conflict, pain and unhappiness. We are not only responsible for our own thoughts; we are responsible for the feelings we experience.

By exploring these feelings, we can eventually heal them.

There are principles that Occupy Wall Street could embrace, which could help eliminate violence by educating our youth through programs that transform the human spirit and build peaceful, loving communities for all humanity.

Attitudinal Healing affirms that we are responsible for our thoughts and whatever feelings we experience, and encourages us to re-examine our relationships, bringing them into the present by releasing past judgments and grievances; reminds us that perception is a mirror of what is in our mind.  Attitudinal Healing defines health as inner peace, and healing as letting go of fear. It emphasizes listening with empathy and without judgment or advice. It views the purpose of communication as joining and regards happiness as a choice.

Everyone is recognized as a teacher; therefore, we are students and teachers to each other.

Here  are the Twelve Principles of Attitudinal Healing.

1.  The essence of our being is love.
2.  Health is inner peace, healing is letting go of fear.
3.  Giving and receiving are the same.
4.  We can let go of the past and of the future.
5.  Now is the only time there is, and each instant is for giving.
6.  We can learn to love ourselves and others by forgiving rather than by judging.
7.  We can become love finders rather than fault finders.
8.  We can choose and direct ourselves to be peaceful inside, regardless of what is happening outside.
9.  We are students and teachers to each other.
10. We can focus on the whole of life, rather than the fragments.
11. Since love is eternal, change need not be viewed as fearful.
12. We can always perceive others as either extending love or giving a call for help.
"Together, we can mature from protest to rally, and from angry reaction to sustained positive action powered by all we love and hold precious." -Raffi
Read the Entire Essay: Beyond Protest, by Raffi Cavoukian (a.k.a. Raffi).
Excerpt:
Why do some people have an aversion to social justice?  Faith leaders for mellennia have touted it; does that make them "leftists?"  If you're not for social justice, are you for injustice?  If you're not for fiar trade, what exactly are you for?  Let's trade the old political labels and romantic notion s of activisim for this: sustained service to the greatest good fo the greatest number.

The world's ills most impact the world's young whose wounding impacts lifetimes and thus genrations. Addressing the universla, irreducible rights and needs of the children in their formative first years, we can grow peacemakersr and Earth stewards in every culture.  Call it grassroots developmental social justic, if you like.
As Jack Layton said in his partying words:
"Love is better than anger, hope is better than fear, optimism is better than despair."  "So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world."
The Occupy movement is on the verge of discovering a new way forward for our society.
This new way is an alternative to what has until now been the dominant worldview of conflict, division, and fear. Fundamentally, Occupy is about bringing forth a world of compassion, interconnection, and – let’s come right out and say it – love that ultimately must work for the 100%. So the intention behind Studio Occupy is to give people everywhere the power to tell their stories of the LOVE and possibility already happening in Occupy.
We encourage you to jump in and explore and share with your friends that there are these new beacons of Love and Light in the world. Remember Buckyminster Fuller’s quote which says
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.”
We here at One Becoming One are doing just that.
We recognize that amazing openings occur when we consciously choose to be co-creators of our future, not its victims.
This is just such a moment.
