May Day With Heart

A Strike, a Boycott, a Holiday, a Refusal

The moon and hours have revolved again, dear hearts, and May Day is upon us. Spring has sprung as usual, though a strike, a boycott, a holiday, a refusal–call it what you will–looms hopefully on Monday morrow, and that is unusual.

We’ll wear white in solidarity with the immigrant worker against rampant criminalization, against the universal miserablism, the broken levees, the constant enclosures, great walls, razor-wired borders, burning frontiers, and the castrametation of the planet by the USA (as the Romans called the science of military base construction).

I asked Massimo De Angelis, a family man, who went up to Gleneagles last year to protest against the G-8, what to say on May Day.

He replied, as is his won't, as if he were a hobgoblin sitting on a mushroom. He likes the mushroom because it is nocturnal, it may cause dreams, and many of the fungi are not yet privatized. As for the hobgoblin it is a country figure of tricks and mischief against the masters.

The Song Of The Child

There is a tribe in Africa where the birth date of a child is counted not from when they were born, nor from when they are conceived but from the day that the child was a thought in its mother’s mind. And when a woman decides that she will have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree, by herself, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child that wants to come. And after she’s heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child’s father, and teaches it to him. And then, when they make love to physically conceive the child, some of that time they sing the song of the child, as a way to invite it.

And then, when the mother is pregnant, the mother teaches that child’s song to the midwives and the old women of the village, so that when the child is born, the old women and the people around her sing the child’s song to welcome it. And then, as the child grows up, the other villagers are taught the child’s song. If the child falls, or hurts its knee, someone picks it up and sings its song to it. Or perhaps the child does something wonderful, or goes through the rites of puberty, then as a way of honoring this person, the people of the village sing his or her song.

Medicine For The People

Lend your ears, lend your hands,
Lend your movement, anything you can.
Come to teach, come to be taught.
Come in the likeness in the image of God.
Cause, you can be like that.
With all that humbleness, and all that respect.

All of the power invested in me,
be it hard to love my enemies.
All of the black bags over the heads of the dead and dying.

The more I understand about the human race,
the less I comprehend about our purpose and place
and maybe if there was a clearer line
the curiosity would satisfy.

Time based prophecies that kept me from living,
in the moment I am struggling
to trust the divinity of all the gods
and what the hell they have planned for us.

Sirius - The Documentary

Sirius is a feature length documentary that follows Dr. Steven Greer – an Emergency room doctor turned UFO researcher – as he struggles to disclose top secret information about classified energy & propulsion techniques. Along the way, Dr. Greer investigates new technology and sheds light on criminal and murderous suppression. He accumulates over 100 Government, Military, and Intelligence Community witnesses who testify on record about their first-hand experience with the cover-up.

Though he feels the pressure of an imminent assassination attempt, he comes upon an amazing find:
A possible ancient E.T. skeleton, is discovered in the Atacama desert in Chile. The E.T. body is only six inches, and through genetic analysis it has been revealed to be definite organic material with a plethora of striking abnormalities so-far unseen in any other life on Earth.
It’s this mummified remains of what looks like a space alien which has turned Sirius into the most eagerly awaited documentary among UFO enthusiasts.

Earth Day - The History Of A Movement

People unite on Earth Day to appreciate and respect earth's environment.

Each year, Earth Day — April 22 — marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.

The height of hippie and flower-child culture in the United States, 1970 brought the death of Jimi Hendrix, the last Beatles album, and Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water”.

Protest was the order of the day, but saving the planet was not the cause.

War raged in Vietnam, and students nationwide increasingly opposed it.

At the time, Americans were slurping leaded gas through massive V8 sedans. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or bad press. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity. “Environment” was a word that appeared more often in spelling bees than on the evening news.  Although mainstream America remained oblivious to environmental concerns, the stage had been set for change by the publication of Rachel Carson's New York Times bestseller Silent Spring in 1962.  The book represented a watershed moment for the modern environmental movement, selling more than 500,000 copies in 24 countries and, up until that moment, more than any other person, Ms. Carson raised public awareness and concern for living organisms, the environment and public health.

War On Nature

War!

We love it, —right?
Blowing stuff up, watching people suffer and die.
It's exciting!

Violence, domination, retribution and other attributes of this competitive warring fascination clearly dominates our media with films, television and other expressions constantly glorifying and reinforcing this gesture of conflict.

In fact, it has been found that by the time an average kid reaches the age of 14 in the West, he or she has visually witnessed over 8,000 depicted acts of murder.

Consumption Vanity Disorder - CVD

Marshall McLuhan once said that the last thing a fish would ever notice in its habitat is the water.

Likewise, the most obvious and powerful realities of our human culture seem to also be the most unrecognized. It is only when we take pause, often at the risk of social alienation, to question the foundational principles and ideas to which our lives are oriented does a dark truth about our supposed 'normality' become more clear.

Today, we live in an ocean with enormous waves of status obsession, materialism, vanity, ego and consumerism.

Our very lives have become defined not by our productive thoughts, social contributions and good will, but by a superficial, delusional set of associations where the very fabric of our society now radiates with cheap romanticisms connected to vain competition, conspicuous consumption and neurotic addictions.

Pure Imagination

Come with me and you'll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin with a spin
Trav'ling in the world of my creation
What we'll see will defy
Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Want to change the world, there's nothing to it

There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be

I Saw A UFO Last Night

Check out my facebook page for pictures and explanation...follow the thread, share your experience....join the conversation.

Here is an excerpt from my facebook status:
Ok, so this is what I just saw fly over our house...I was joking with my roommate(he was in the kitchen and I was walking back to my room, when I passed by the window and saw the lights in the distance, and I said,"look out the window and tell me if that's a UFO"...as it got closer, I could see that it was triangular, (see pics)...it had big white lights on the front of it, and two flashing white lights on the back ....and a red light in the middle....as I was joking out loud to my roommate, "you better come and look it's going to land in the field next to us"...so I flashed our porch light, as if to get the attention of it....it flew right over us, and as it did, the lights when out, and only the red light was on, and I could clear see it was triangular.....by that time my roommate was in the back of the house...I looked online, and this is pretty much exactly what it looked like, other than how I described above....it actually had two more white lights on each side of the red light, but closer to the front...and it was those three, including the one on front that went out....why didn't I get my phone to record it?....I'm a dumbass....i really wish I could share the experience...damn!
